This book is one of those books which you will definitely read at least twice in life if you have got your hand on it once. Because its simply impossible to grasp all the contents of the book in one go. I fell in love with Jane Austen’s writing after reading this one. The beauty with which it is written is what the most attractive thing of this masterpiece. It is autobiographical, of course, many aspects of her life has been dipicted in the book accordingly. Inspite of being a romance on surface, it is more than a romance. Austen has attached every aspect of her life in this book. Kind of it is a would be version of Austen’s life.

My memory of the reading
I was in my graduation when I told my father to get a copy of Pride and Prejudice for me and he got me the one you see in the picture. It took almost 15 to 20 days (back then I was a very slow reader) . But when I read it, it just made me a reader forever. Since then I have picked up reading like anything.
Another most important thing about this book is it characters. I don’t think there can be a single human being who didn’t fall for Elizabeth or Mr Darcy- ah! Mr Darcy the man who is nonexistent yet exists (in every girl’s dreams, maybe).I literally fell in love with Mr. Darcy, maybe because I’am also an introvert just like him and that made him so much more relatable to him. I don’t know and I don’t want to.
I have heard people say Austen create many unnecessary characters but isn’t it how life is… We meet so many people! The number is too large sometimes to even remember all of them. The more the merrier!!
The thing is that the liveliness and the imperfect yet perfect characters make this book a perfect book out there and I think it is because most of the characters are drawn from real life and that’s why they become even more relatable for anyone who reads it.
